From a generic introduction to a useful product comparison
A real collection-page edit on Oak & Spur, published and checked September 25, 2026.
1. What we observed
The Homepage Picks collection displayed two products: a 4-hook and a 9-hook wooden cowboy hat rack. Its introduction did not name either product or explain what to compare.
Before
A compact selection of Oak and Spur favorites featured across the storefront.
2. The recommendation
Name the actual products and direct the shopper toward the available choices. Preserve the collection URL and product membership. Use only facts verified in the catalog.
Published replacement
Explore the 4-hook and 9-hook wooden cowboy hat racks in our Homepage Picks. Compare the two rack sizes and the available finish and trim options on each product page.
3. What changed and how we checked it
- Changed only the collection description after owner approval.
- Retained the original description for rollback.
- Reloaded the public collection and verified the new wording was visible.
- Confirmed the same two product cards and existing collection URL remained.
Verified result: the introduction now identifies the products and the choices to compare. Sales, conversion rate and search performance were not measured.
What this means for your report
StoreRx's automated findings include observed evidence and recommended actions. The full report now adds steps and completion checks for the first three priorities. Human-reviewed pilot reports also check those priorities against the live pages. Recommendations are not made simply to fill three slots.
